Course Summary
One final component to deploying any new system is training end-users in the use of the new software package. To encourage rapid adoption, Aptiris can work with you to customize and deliver an appropriate End User Training or Train-the-Trainer program. This training may take the form of presentation-style sessions, which may be repeated over time to accommodate any number of participants. Staff training may be comprised of small-group (12 or fewer) sessions, focusing on core system functions including how to connect from any location, how to send and receive messages, and use of FirstClass conferences for discussion and resource sharing. An Advanced End User curriculum is also available, focusing on more advanced features such as system architecture, content layout, permissions, security models, collaboration spaces, web publishing, use of
personal and group calendars, user permissions, and advanced formatting of FirstClass documents. Train-the-trainer courses also provide materials and methods for delivering information to other end users.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
ยท understand the basics of the FirstClass architecture
ยท log into their FirstClass account
ยท identify the components of their FirstClass account
ยท read and send both personal and conference messages
ยท configure their mailbox view preferences
ยท customize messages with advanced formatting features
ยท add and save attachments
ยท add entries to their FirstClass Address Book
ยท configure basic mail rules for their FirstClass account
At the end of the advanced curriculum, participants will be able to:
ยท customize their account, including user preferences and Toolbars
ยท complete and publish a FirstClass resume
ยท create and manage personal and group events using the FirstClass calendar
ยท understand correct procedures for setting conference and calendar permissions
ยท use the FirstClass Chat feature for both personal and public instant messaging
ยท develop and publish a FirstClass Home Page
